Research shows that students with involved parents:

• earn higher grades and test scores
• are promoted, pass classes, and earn credits
• attend school regularly
• have better social skills and improved behavior
• graduate and go on to post-secondary education.

KCIS is working to engage parents through our site coordinators in the schools, community collaborations, and the Parent Information and Resource (PIRC) grant.  We view parents as partners in their children's success.
